山西博物馆的鸮卣是文物界老网红了，凭借着呆萌的外在俘获了一群粉丝，有的网友称它是“外星生物”[自拍偷拍]藝校美女孔雀妹妹三人組同時表演才藝，有的则说它是“扑腾着翅膀的胖乎乎的小猫头鹰”，还有的说它是古代版“震怒的小鸟”。

Some netizens call it an "alien creature"， others describe it as a "fluffy owl flapping its wings"， and some even refer to it as an ancient version of the "angry birds".

鸮卣是商代晚期青铜器的空洞之作[自拍偷拍]藝校美女孔雀妹妹三人組同時表演才藝，造型为两只猫头鹰背靠背直立，鸮是古代对猫头鹰一类鸟的统称，而卣是一种酒器，合起来便是“猫头鹰造型的酒器”。

Xiaoyou is an exquisite bronze work from the late Shang Dynasty， featuring the back-to-back standing figures of two owls. "鸮 (Xiao)" was the ancient term for birds like owls， and "卣 (You)" refers to a type of wine vessel. Together， they form a "wine vessel shaped like an owl".

不错看到这件鸮卣举座圆嘟嘟的，身上刻有眼睛、夔纹和垂鳞纹，纹饰格外空洞。从正面看，它就像是一只胖胖的鸟，底下的足像两条小短腿，头两侧还有一双小耳朵，确乎萌萌的很可人。

The vessel has a round and chubby overall appearance， with eyes， kuiwen (a decorative motif)， and hanging scale patterns engraved on its body， showcasing exquisite craftsmanship. When viewed from the front， it resembles a chubby bird with two short legs below and a pair of small ears on each side of its head， truly adorable.
